Group Training
In addition to research check-ins and discussions, our research group sets time aside for professional skills training. Studies have shown that career success can be attributed to factors beyond technical and scientific skillsets, specifically, professional skills, such as networking and time management [e.g., link]. Biweekly meetings will be held to help address this critically important training, along with other needed skills for careers after graduate school.
Self-Guided Learning
Our group has a reading list that we have made publicly available. These are self-guided readings and materials meant to serve as resources for learning and reference.
